As all of my friends and family know, I love the number 13! So, since today is one of my favorite days, I thought I’d feature one of my other favorite things: turtles!
I bought this Kathy Fincher painting for my brother’s birthday last year (we shared an apartment when I owned my pet turtle, Miss Roger). It has the cutest picture of a turtle, with the poem:
God’s creatures deserve our attention, Get out of your shell and slow your pace, It was the turtle, Not the hare, That was the winner of that race.
The poem is based on Job 37:14:
Listen to this, O Job; Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God.
A little cheesy, but it makes me happy :)
